Founded in 1986 by an international group of six artists, Boekie Woekie is an artist-run bookstore specializing in books created by artists, self-published works, and small press editions. In 2024 it moved to a historic Rijksmonument at Geldersekade 39 and carries roughly 7,000 titles from creators worldwide.
