The Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center, on the lower level of the Central Library's Boylston Street Building, was the first public business library in the United States, opening May 7, 1930 through a gift from Louis Kirstein of Filene's. It offers over 5,000 square feet of business resources, video production technology, and an investment center.
