Founded in 1970 by historian Eva Bridges, Bridges Book Center is a Black-owned independent bookstore in downtown Rahway that doubles as an Afro-American Research Library & Museum. It specializes in African American literature, history, and children's books and music, and remains a longtime landmark on Main Street.
