Founded in 1966 by John La Rose and Sarah White as the UK's first Black publisher, bookshop, and international book service. Based at 76 Stroud Green Road since 1973; family-run today by John's son Michael La Rose alongside Janice Durham. Celebrated 60th anniversary in March 2026.
