Welcome to ReadingLasses, a bookshop and cafe located in Scotland's Book Town, Wigtown. ReadingLasses is the only women's bookshop in Britain and our front room is dedicated to books 'by and about women'. Yet more books are stocked in the shop's middle room and comfy seating is scattered throughout, perfect for a spot of reading, accompanied by a coffee and a piece of cake. We are one of only a few independent bookshops who stock directly from Persephone Books in Bloomsbury, a publishing house specialising in reprinting neglected fiction and non-fiction by mid-twentieth century women writers.
